Prepare to be VERY impressed.
Kayakers Artur Staszek and Ronan Stapleton from Galway and members of the NUIG kayak club have been practising their skills, and it seems there’s no height too tall to drop into a river.
Having been gradually working their way up various heights all summer, the boys attempted a descent from the Quincentennial Bridge in Galway City.
While we’re massively impressed, be careful not to run out and try it yourself. We’ve been warned that the men involved are experienced whitewater kayakers. Us mere mortals are a lot more likely to end up with a spinal injury.
Saying that, it doesn’t mean we can’t be seriously impressed!
