We were delighted to welcome Mary Lou McDonald to our inaugural Her Talks event last Thursday.
The objective of this series is to encourage women to fight for better representation in politics, media and the workplace. We endeavour to empower women by providing them with the information and insight they need to succeed.
Mary Lou joined us to speak passionately and honestly about the “boys club” that is the Dail. Throughout her talk she explained that a gender-balanced government would have endless benefits for Ireland and that in order for such gender parity to be achieved, we need more women to stand for election.
Through personal anecdotes and professional advice, Mary Lou tells the story of her journey into politics, her vision for Ireland and shares her belief that a better and more equal republic is within reach.
