An absolute gentleman.
This week we had the honour of catching up with legendary Irish goalkeeper Packie Bonner.
Over in Ireland to promote the 2015 Packie Bonner Golf Classic, he spoke to us about all things Italia ’90, (25 years on), his love for Donegal and his hopes when he was younger of All-Ireland glory.
Not only that, but he also proved he’s up to date on all things Sarah Jessica Parker and showed he was well able to survive under pressure when we quizzed him about random Donegal facts.
Speaking about the golf classic in aid of Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland he added: “It’s been running for quite a long time, we do it every year.”
“We’re hoping to get lots of teams this year as it’s a major fundraiser for the Association and it helps to bring in vital funds for them.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be associated with it. I have a niece who has Spina Bifida and that’s my connection.
“When I see the work these people do around the country helping people and helping families it’s just great. It really is a cause close to my heart.”
The 2015 Packie Bonner Golf Classic, in aid of Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland, takes place on Friday 21st of August in Palmerstown House Estate Golf Club in Naas, Co. Kildare.
