British YouTuber Sam Pepper has over 2.4 million subscribers to his YouTube channel. Pepper, a former contestant on Big Brother, is renowned for his prankster ways, which regularly earns him over one million views per video.
On Saturday, the 25-year-old uploaded his latest prank, which resulted in serious backlash online.
The ‘Fake Hand Ass Pinch Prank’ is the Internet star’s latest attempt at being funny in which he fails miserably.
The video is just under three minutes in total and shows Pepper approaching five women for directions to the nearest Apple store wearing an oversized hoodie with one sleeve tucked into his pocket, while his arm is free underneath. While the women kindly oblige to point him in the right direction, he uses this opportunity to pinch their bums, much to the dismay of the females involved.
The reaction is mixed between the women, however it is fair to say that none are comfortable with having a stranger feeling them. Women’s interest website Jezebel is asking people to report Sam Pepper for assault on the individuals and the #ReportSamPepper hashtag is trending online.
Pepper shared the video onto his Twitter account with the caption: “Retweet if you love booty as much as me!”
Comments underneath express the outrage at Pepper’s attempt to pass sexual assault off as humour.
