This father of the bride surprised his daughter with the best wedding gift – standing out of his wheelchair to walk his daughter down the aisle.
Heather Duquette imagined her wedding day surrounding herself with her friends and family. She probably had every inch of every part of that celebration planned… except for the incredible gesture her father surprised her with.
Having contacted physical therapists and undergoing months of private sessions, Heather’s father Ralph wanted to surprise his daughter on her big day by stepping out of his wheelchair and making his way down the aisle in front of the congregation.
Ralph, who has been battling leukemia, kept his hard work and planning to himself – and it’s rare to see such an emotive response caught on camera.
We know every wedding day is special, but we’ve a feeling this will be the moment everyone talks about for years to come.
