Will becoming a parent make you fulfilled and happy? It might, but according to a new study, you’ll enjoy the act of making a baby a hell of a lot more.
What are we on about? Well, researchers have discovered that sex basically tops any other human activity in terms of fulfilment and enjoyment.
Yes, believe it or not, we love sex more than we love becoming a parent, partying, getting a promotion or having a drink after a hard day at the office.
Researchers from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand gathered a group of volunteers and asked them to rate every activity they engaged in throughout the day via text message.
Simply put, the volunteers were asked to text the researchers rating everything that happened on them on a scale of one to 10, based on the pleasure, meaning and engagement they received from the experience. This interesting method of research is known as “experience sampling.”

Unsurprisingly, sex was rated the highest activity in terms of pleasure, meaning and engagement while the act of having and caring from children ranked in fifth place. (Sorry kids!).
