Want to know the secret to improved health? Trust us, it’s something you won’t mind doing. Some new research has revealed that having sex twice a week can increase your immune system and lessen your chances of picking up nasty infections. Yes, ladies, having sex is good for your health.
According to some research carried out by neuropsychologist David Weeks at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, people who have sex once or twice a week have high levels of the antibody immunoglobulin (or IgA) in their blood stream.
This antibody is important because it helps to protect your body from respiratory diseases like the cold and flu and it can help your body to fight off other infections.
Do you want even more good news? Dr Weeks also stated that he believes regular sex can stop us from developing wrinkles. We don’t know about you, but we sort of want to give Dr Weeks a high-five right now and to tell him to keep up all this excellent work he’s doing.
But why does he believe sex can stop us from getting crow’s feet? In a decade long study, Dr Weeks interviewed 3,500 adults about their health and their sex life. The findings discovered that people who reported having sex four times a week with their partners looked about ten years younger than they actually were.
“Honey, I found a wrinkle. Can you sort it out for me please?”
Dr Weeks concluded that this was all down to good genes and the fact that pleasure releases a human growth hormone that can repair the cells in our body.
So basically ladies, what we’re trying to say is: more sex = better health + less wrinkles. Yeah, we’re pretty sure we can live with that!
