Wait… Unicorns Actually Do Exist?! WHAT?!

Archaeologists in North Korea have reportedly discovered the lair of a unicorn. Yes, we're being completely serious...

Brace yourself women, because we’re about to drop a bombshell: unicorns are real (well, according to North Korea anyway).

The Guardian reports that North Korea’s official state news agency has broken a world exclusive and is claiming that archaeologists in Pyongyang have discovered a real-life unicorn’s lair (we kid you not).

A report, issued by the news agency, states that archaeologists have “recently confirmed” that they have discovered the lair of one of the unicorns that was supposedly ridden by the ancient Korean King Tongmyong – the founder of a kingdom that ruled parts of China and the entire Korean peninsula back in the 3rd Century BC.

The location of the unicorn’s lair is a mere 200 metres from a temple in North Korea (handy or what? You know what they say, mythical beasts and temples go hand in hand like).

Could you imagine if they found an actual unicorn living in the lair?

“A rectangular rock carved with words ‘Unicorn Lair’ stands in front of the liar,” says the report.

“The carved words are believed to date back to the period of Koryo Kingdom (918-1392),” the report adds.

Apparently archaeologists from the Academy of Social Sciences at North Korea’s noted History institute were credited with making the unusual discovery.

Hmm… we’ll admit we’re a little sceptical about all this. Mainly because last week it was claimed that Kim Jong-un had been voted the sexiest man alive (a spoof article from The Onion which went viral after a Chinese newspaper ran the story).

However, if it’s true it’s pretty damn awesome. Could you just imagine having a unicorn as a pet?!
