This has to be one of the longest and most elaborate Irish wedding videos we’ve ever seen.
Shot by Alan and Anthony Mulligan, the pair decided to direct and write a short film instead of opting for the traditional best man’s speech.
“When our brother asked us to be best men we wanted to do something different for him, especially since our mother had passed away almost 10 years ago and Paul is the first in a family of five kids to get married” Alan told Her.ie, whose family are from Charlestown in Mayo.
All of their family acted in the wedding piece including their Dad, the groomsmen, family friends and their neighbour’s son. It’s 18 minutes long but it’s well spent!
According to Alan, the speeches and video received a standing ovation on the day of the wedding at the Castle Dargan Hotel in Sligo.
“The manager said that he had been doing over 80 weddings a year for years and had never ever seen anything like it” he said.
The newlyweds Paul and Aisling Mulligan are currently on their honeymoon in Thailand.
