This hilarious promo for the final season of How I Met Your Mother was screened at Comic-Con over the weekend.

In the cast’s first and only appearance at the hugely popular convention, stars Josh Radnor, Cobie Smulders, Jason Segel, Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan, along with co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas met with fans eager to hear more about the hit comedy’s upcoming ninth and final season.

Before they addressed fans, the HIMYM crew screened this video featuring Ted’s children, played by Lyndsy Fonseca and David Henrie pleading with him to finish the story already.

During their slot at Comic-Con, the cast and makers confirmed that the entire final season would take place over Robin and Barney’s wedding weekend, but promised plenty of flashback and flashforward moments, with Bays swearing audiences weren’t in for ‘four hours of flower arranging’.

How I Met Your Mother's final season premieres in the US on Monday, September 23rd with a one-hour episode.
