VIDEO: Swimming With Dolphins Is Officially Off Our Bucket List

We thought dolphins were the friendliest of water-dwelling creatures but one little Seaworld visitor learned the hard way.

We always thought our golden years would involve margaritas, stunning sunsets and spending our afternoons being dragged around the pool by a smiling dolphin.

However, we officially have no plans to dive into the sea with one of them now after laying our eyes upon this terrifying video.

The incident occurred in Orlando Flordia last week when Jillian Thomas was bitten by a dolphin while visiting Sea World with her parents.

As her father recorded Jillian feeding the dolphin nobody expected the creature to bite her.

Following the attack, the child’s hand was left punctured, bruised and swollen.

“The first thing I thought was I would have to jump in water and save my daughter’s life,” he told the Sentinel.

“I literally thought she was going to be pulled into the water.”

However, the family said Sea World employees did not recognise the severity of the situation.

‘Thank God it didn’t pull her in the water. It’s only a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured at this attraction,’ Thomas said.

“Everyone just imagines dolphins as smiling, non-biting animals with knobby teeth. You forget these are wild animals,” said Jillian’s mother Amy.

Swimming with dolphins is officially OFF our to do list.
