Following a number of reports of infants being left in cars, including the very sad news concerning Cooper Harris who died after he was left in a hot car for several hours, Thibodaux Police Department decided to respond with this video.
Officer David Melancon volunteered to sit in a hot car for just a few minutes in a controlled experiment to display how someone might feel if they were left in a hot car.
After just a few short minutes, you can see how uncomfortable he has become. This makes for distressing viewing.
