Aaron Collins, a computer technician from Kentucky, passed away a year ago last Sunday.
The 30-year-old left a will that requested his family complete an unusual final wish on his behalf, namely; “Third, leave an awesome tip (and I don’t mean 25%. I mean $500 on a f***ing pizza) for a waiter or waitress.”
On July 10th, three days after Aaron passed away, his family went to Puccini’s Smiling Teeth in Lexington, Kentucky and left a $500 tip for their waitress. They filmed the whole thing, and the clip quicky went viral. A donation website they set up attracted over $60,000 in the year since, and in that year Aaron’s brother Seth has surprised over 50 waiters and waitresses with a $500 tip. He is currently on a four-month trip, tipping in every one of the 50 states. The video above shows his latest stop, in Thr3e Wise Men, Indianapolis.
