Check out the mad skills of Limerick lass Rebecca Barry, who scored this amazing goal while on a sports scholarship in a Virginia college.

The goal has drawn the young Munster lady quite a bit of attention in the past two weeks, even featuring on ESPN’s Sport Centre as one of the Top 10 Plays of the Week, alongside none other than Lionel Messi. The video has been viewed over 40,000 times to date.

Speaking to The Limerick Leader, Rebecca said she’s been in demand since the goal, saying: “My phone has been going non-stop between Twitter, Facebook, texts and e-mails. Having it end up on ESPN really was the icing on the cake.”

Rebecca is a former youth Olympian and Under 18 Irish camogie captain, and it certainly looks like there’s a bright future ahead for this Irish sportswoman…
