VIDEO: If We All Followed the Lead of These Irish Students, The World Would Be A Better Place

There's a reason nurses are known as angels on earth.

Every so often it’s really nice to get a reminder that there are still wonderful people in the world.

So, we’re doffing our metaphorical caps today to some wonderful young Irish women who spent their precious summer holidays making a difference in the nicest way possible.

Four student nurses from National University of Ireland Galway hit the road this summer on one trip of a lifetime, spending their time nursing in Simanjiro Health Centre, Arusha, Tanzania.

This short and incredibly sweet video, (recorded by Rachel O’Malley from Loughrea on her mobile phone!) offers a taster of their time there,  and their travels to Ngorogoro Crater and Zanzibar afterwards.

Rachel travelled with her friends Aoife Níc Néill, Denise Igoe and Mary Mitchell. All four have just completed their second year in NUIG.

We think it’s safe to say that any future patients of these lovely ladies are in very good hands indeed.
