It’s rare that an ad would ever reduce us to tears but this one is very special.
Titled “Giving”, the ad focuses in a story of young boy and a kind man who helps him through a simple gesture.
Though it’s an ad for phone company True Move H, there’s still something incredibly poignant about the tale.
The ad itself seems to have been inspired of the true story of Dr Howard Kelly.
Kelly was a physician who, in 1895, founded the Johns Hopkins Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Johns Hopkins University.
His biographer wrote that the doctor was on a walking trip when we stopped by a farm house for a drink of water.
A little girl answered and instead of water she brought him a glass of fresh milk. Sometime later the girl came to him as a patient and needed surgery. After the surgery, the bill was brought to her room and on it were the words, "Paid in full with one glass of milk."
We’re pretty sure you’re going to need tissues by the end of this moving advert.
