A few years ago, Reece Rooney from Waterford moved over to the University of North Carolina to study when he got a scholarship to play soccer.
But as well as that, he also found the girl of his dreams.
After two years of dating softball player Natalie Klemann, Reece decided to take their relationship to the next level by popping the question. On her senior day at her last college game, he took to the pitcher’s mound in front of her entire team and their friends.
With the help of a few placards and John Legend’s All Of Me (hearts melted), he got down on one knee and asked her a question that she couldn’t say no to. The whole thing was caught on camera which Reece then uploaded to his Facebook page.
He wrote: “Words can not express the feeling it is to take that next step with the woman of my dreams. The proposal went better then planned, I have so many people to thank who made it possible, Starting with my family for all their continuous support, Nats family… also the support of my team was essential and with Uncp sports nothing but love for you all. Also the amount of recognition of our engagement is unbelievable its much appreciative [sic]”.
Reece also added: “Two years with this beautiful young inspiring woman and so many more to come. You are the angel on my shoulder and the spark in my life, I couldn’t be more blessed to have you, I love you more than anything sweetheart – with Natalie Klemann”.
We’d just like to say a huge thank you to Reece for agreeing to share this special moment with us and also send congratulations to him and his gorgeous bride-to-be Natalie.
