Over the past few years we’ve seen a vast increase in the number of eBook readers and people finding preference for reading online. Oyster is a new app that’s taking advantage of that market.
This new subscription service allows members to read an unlimited selection of books on their mobile devices for a set monthly fee ($9.95).
Described as a “vast library at your fingertips”, Oyster’s online library is continually growing and currently has more than 100,000 titles.

At the moment the service is designed for mobile devices and has integrated social media features where users can share what they’re reading with others as well as creating their own personal library.
“We created Oyster to evolve the way people read and to create more of the special moments that only books can offer” say its creators.
“From anywhere a mobile device can go—a bustling subway car, a quiet coffee shop, or lost at sea with a Bengal tiger—our mission is to build the best reading experience, one that is both communal and personal, anytime, anywhere.”
The app is available on a first-come, first serve basis. You can request an invite for Oyster on their website here.
