Yesterday evening the heavy fog caused major havoc on the roads and in the air across Ireland but thankfully it is set to clear… for a time.
According to Met Éireann, this morning will be foggy and misty but this is expected to clear gradually as the day progresses, leaving some sunny spells.
Highest temperatures will be between 13 and 16 degrees Celsius however these will drop tonight to around 4 to 7 degrees.
This evening will see the return of the fog but again this is expected to lift on Tuesday, which will also be colder with some outbreaks of rain in the evening.
Those travelling will be glad to hear that Dublin Airport is open however there are still serious delays and a number of flights have been cancelled.
Passengers are being advised to check with their airline for the latest information.
Meanwhile, others have taken to Twitter to express their frustration with the foggy conditions…
Two things observed this morning, 1) Too many cars need a headlight fixing & 2) a lot of drivers don’t know how to use fog lights properly

Let me tell you, trying to flag down your bus in this fog leads to you actually flagging down an awful lot of confused truck drivers
