Baked-beans on toast is an old Irish favorite and although much adored it is nice to switch up old recipes and spice up your diet.
As plant-proteins have been proven to increase the likelihood of conception, beans are great ingredients to have in this recipe.
Spinach and rocket are high in vitamin B and mozzarella is a good source of calcium, both of which are great supplements to kick-start your baby making.
These quesadillas incorporate so many ingredients that are good for women trying to conceive and because it is delicious it hardly feels like a chore. This recipe feeds two people.
Ingredients
1 can of Heinz baked beans
2 large whole-wheat wraps
150 grams of Spinach
150 grams of Rocket
150 grams of Mozzarella (fresh or grated)
Salt and Pepper to taste.
Method
- Cook Heinz beans as usual and when cooked add the spinach until wilted. Turn off the heat.
- Place a large frying pan on a medium heat and put one whole-wheat wrap onto the pan to toast for one minute.
- Remove the wrap from the pan and toast the next wrap in the same way.
- Next, pour the bean and spinach mixture onto the surface of the whole-wheat wrap in the frying pan before adorning the pizza with mozzarella cheese.
- Continue cooking until all of the cheese has melted. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Turn off the heat and place the rocket onto the quesadilla.
- Place the other toasted wrap on top and remove the quesadilla from the pan.
- Cut into triangles and enjoy.
