Rebecca McKnight

From dancing priests to angry parents, we’ve been spoilt this year when it comes to Irish viral videos. Today we are celebrating the top 10 and revisiting some of our favourite clips from the last 12 months.

They might have a serious vocation but Reverend David Rider and Reverend John Gibson brought smiles to our faces when they took part in a dance-off for a fundraiser in Rome.

Feilim McHugh thought it would be hilarious to tell his father that he didn’t pass his driving test (even though he had). His dad didn’t find it so funny.

Almost everyone took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge this year but not everyone was impressed with their loved ones’ efforts.

Zena made 2014 a year to remember by accepting girlfriend Louise’s proposal. However she didn’t get a ring, she got a song (that we’ll never forget).

There were a lot of homecomings this year but Stephen Nolan’s has a special place in our hearts. He got a helping hand from his sister Nicola when he arrived home from Australia to surprise his mam.

The students from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance put on a real show at Shannon Airport back in April and gave us one of the best clips of the entire year.

Irish bride and groom Mariam Elbadri and Owen McAuley demonstrated their dance skills at their wedding reception at the Knightsbrook Hotel in Co Meath. Hats off!

Let It Go from Disney’s Frozen inspired quite a few YouTube videos. However for this two-year-old from Belfast, it wasn’t the video she wanted.

Ever thought about what you would tell your teenage self? Well, presenter Riyadh Khalaf asked a number of elderly men and women to share their words of wisdom and they obliged.

Kevin Cobbe, Chris McGrath and Iain McNamara literally danced their way around the world. From New Zealand to Chile, this trio sure know how to move!
