Tipperary Business Threatened After Posting “Vote Yes” Materials on their Windows

An anonymous letter arrived to the premises this week.

A Tipperary business has been threatened with vandalism after posting “Vote Yes” campaign materials on their windows.

An anonymous letter was sent to Country Choice in Nenagh earlier this week. The note read: “Take down that poster now or I’ll give you the gift of my empty-wine bottle @ 2 a.m.” [SIC]

A picture of the threatening note was shared on Twitter on Thursday by Cornelius Traas.

We contacted Peter Ward, proprietor of Country Choice, for comment.

He told us that he is taking the threat “with a pinch of salt”.

Peter said: “We’re a contemporary business even though we’ve been established for 33 years.”

“We’re sensitive to the happiness of all of our customers.”
