A three-year-old from Mrytle Creek, Oregon managed to climb into his aunt’s jeep unsupervised and moved the vehicle by knocking it into gear.
It then rolled down the street before crashing into a neighbour’s house, according to passers-by. A police officer had spotted a child sitting in the front seat after the accident but the little boy made it back to his house alone.
When officers visited his home he was sitting on the couch watching cartoons. His mother, Brennan Pennington, was in the bathroom at the time of the accident and when she came out, her son had returned.
Police have since cited her for failing to supervise a child, according to The New York Daily News. The video below gives a news report on the accident.
Thankfully, no one was hurt but it’s frightening to think of what could have happened.
