This wedding dress trend is definitely not for everyone

Would you wear this?

Can’t see this catching on.

We’ve seen so many new wedding dress styles and trends recently. Only a few days ago we saw a trend which focuses on the back of dresses, and before that we’ve had the tie dye dresses.

It’s great to see so many styles which allow people to show more of their personality. For this new trend, though, there is more than enough on show and it’s definitely not for everyone.

Wedding designer Alon Livné has created a new style of wedding dress which he told Cosmopolitan he wanted, “to make something that is very showstopper, very unique, but still feminine and soft.”

The dress consists of a nude leotard with embellisment and a see-through half skirt around it.

As this Instagram user put it, it’s for the “brave bride”.

Interestingly, Alon is one of the biggest wedding dress designers in Israel and trained at Alexander McQueen in London and Roberto Cavalli in Florence.

Before branching out on his own, Alon won first prize in the Israeli version of Project Runway.

He showed off his latest collection at the Wedding Dress Fashion Week in New York. He suggested that brides could swap out the skirt part for a different version but also added that they might want to take it off completely when it was time for dancing. He said, “For the dancing, she can take off the overskirt and be more sexy.”
