A very strong piece of art.
Today, thousands of people are about to set out to march for an important cause at the 5th annual March For Choice.
Those in favour of repealing the 8th amendment met today outside the Garden of Remembrance to march for human rights.
Organisers say they are expecting 20,000 people in the capital, who say that the theme of the March this year is ‘Rise and Repeal’ “a comment on the failure of our Republic to fulfil the promise of equality made in 1916.”
People have been showing support all day on social media but one striking image sums up the power the 8th amendment sadly still has on humans in our country.
Been sitting on this illustration for a while, it's yet to find a home but today seems like a good day for it. #repealthe8th #MarchForChoice pic.twitter.com/cwqtBVW48n

Illustrator Dearbhla Kelly captioned the image on twitter saying:
“Been sitting on this illustration for a while, it’s yet to find a home but today seems like a good day for it.”
Other repeal supporters have taken to Twitter with their own stories and powerful messages of support.

We #marchforchoice because 54% of those accessing abortion are already parents, who make decisions in the best interests of their families
