One of the most annoying problems with smartphones is a wi-fi connection that constantly drops, (for example, when you’re at a VERY crucial moment in an episode of Scandal).
The good news is Apple appear to have figured a way around this and reports say it’s on the way soon. Hallelujah.
It’s an option called Wi-Fi assist and once it’s turned on, your phone will automatically switch to using cellular data instead of Wi-Fi.
9to5mac reports that this new update will be included in the next iOS update which is great news if you’ve had enough of slow Wi-Fi.
The buffering battle *might* finally be a thing of the past…YAY.
