Well there’s a match commentary like you’ve never seen before.
On Friday afternoon, the official Twitter account for one Clare club football account delivered a play-by-play for the ages. It had drama, intrigue and passion… perfectly summed up in less than 140 characters at a time.
The only thing is, there was no game. There was, however, a match.
Officials for the club instead used their social media channels to great effect with a live commentary on the wedding of their senior captain Gerard Moran to long-term love Michelle Cox.
The happy couple are both from the small parish of Lissycasey, home to the 2014 Senior B Champions.
To mark the special day, one unidentified* stalwart of the club took the reins of the account, offering a colourful take on the big day out. Let’s just say he has a future in match commentary.
Best of luck to @ger1982 taking the plunge! Club captain for 3 years and still leading the full back line! pic.twitter.com/Z2RZlWmPZW
