This is Why High Chairs And Wine Don’t Mix Well…

This merry Mammy was left mortified after she was forced to call the fire brigade to help get her out of her son's high chair

If this story has taught us anything, it’s that high chairs are a force to be reckoned with after you’ve had a couple of drinks. Believe it or not but a mammy in the UK had to be rescued by the fire brigade after she somehow managed to “wedge” herself in her son’s high chair.

You just can’t make this type of news story up. Seriously.

The Sun reports that mammy-of-three, Serena Curtis, had been enjoying a girly night in with her friend Jade. The pair had a few glasses of wine, one thing led to another and Serena decided to see if she could fit into her son’s high chair.

She managed to get herself in alright, it was getting out that proved to be the problem. Serena and Jade struggled with the chair for over an hour but it just wouldn’t budge.

Eventually, the pair had to make a mortifying phone call to the fire brigade to see if they could help.

“I was so embarrassed. I just had a dressing gown on, but luckily part of the chair was hiding my face,” said Serena.

“It’s my son’s highchair. I haven’t told him yet. I’ll wait until he’s a bit older. We were a bit merry and I decided to do it for a laugh. I’m glad the fire brigade realised it was an accident,” she added.

Luckily for us, Serena’s friend Jade captured the entire thing on camera. The video has no sound, but you can only imagine what was going on.

The lesson? Never drink and wedge yourself into a high chair.
