Whether you find yourself staring at the ceiling into the early hours of the morning or you just never feel like you’ve had enough sleep when your alarm goes off in the morning, sleep can be a tricky concept.

Well, that is, until now.

According to Cosmopolitan, a new study by George Home has revealed what you need for the best chance of a good night’s sleep.

The checklist is based on the feedback from a thousand people who gave their tips on how to get some proper shut-eye during the winter months (it seems over half of people find it harder to sleep at this time of year).

The findings revealed that the best time to go to bed is 10.37pm (nice and specific) but that’s not the only thing you need to take note of.

Apparently you also need some cotton pyjamas, goose feather pillows, a 13.5 tog duvet, an additional blanket AND a hot water bottle at hand.

We know what you’re thinking, a decent kip sounds like a lot of work (and money)… we’ll see if the bedtime and hot water bottle does the job and get back to you!
