This Irish groom serenaded his bride up the aisle and it is beautiful

No, you're crying!

Laura Holland

Wow.

There is something very emotional about a bride walking up the aisle. There are always a few tissues brought out to wipe away the tears from the guests, but there is no doubt that everyone at this wedding was crying as a result of this sweet gesture by the groom.

Siobhán Ní Chonghaile and Jonathan Kernan were getting married yesterday and instead of taking the usual approach when it came to Siobhán walking up the aisle, Jonathan changed things up and serenaded her with a song.

The couple are both 25 and met 8 years ago in secondary school in Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. They got married yesterday in Lastra’s Church in Donaghmoyne and celebrated their afters in Darver Castle.

Jonathan sang Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran as Siobhán walked up the aisle and their friend Pádraig said there wasn’t a dry eye in the church. The song starts with the lyrics “you look so beautiful in your dress” which summed up Siobhán perfectly who was a stunning bride.

Their friend Ryan Craig was on guitar and Jennifer O’Connor was accompanying the singing.

Jonathan’s sister Charlene shared the video on Facebook saying:

“My little brother sang his beautiful new wife up the aisle yesterday with their friends Ryan on guitar & Jennifer on harmony it was the perfect start to a memorable day.”

It is just beautiful.
