Forget about the girl next door, how about your best friend’s mum?
One lad in Virginia is on a mission to take his friend’s mum to prom.
When Anthony Pinnisi, from Virginia recently asked his friend Chloe’s permission to take her mum to prom, she gave him one condition.
All he needs to do is get 500,000 tweets for his friend to let this happen. (We’re doubtful the mum in question even has a clue about this side arrangement).
So, how do you go about sealing the ultimate deal?
Anthony did what any young teenager would do – and posted the conversation and a series of snaps to his Twitter account:

The images, which have only been online for 15 hours, have now been retweeted more than 76,000 times.
While we’re assuming he still has some time to make up the numbers, never underestimate the power of the internet.
We think there’s a very awkward question coming to a mum in America pretty soon.
