This grandad wrote a powerful letter after daughter kicked her son out for being gay

In this day and age it is shocking that people are still getting 'disowned' by their parents simply for being gay. That is what happened to one young man named Chad, who was kicked out of the house by his mother Christine for coming out as gay. In a heartwarming turn of events, the young man's grandfather supported him fully and offered to take him in after what happened. He also penned a very powerful letter speaking of how ashamed his is of his daughter. He told her he was 'disappointed' and that she in fact was the 'abomination' in the family. The letter was shared on Imgur where it has been viewed over 230,000 times. The letter in full reads:

“Dear Christie, I’m disappointed in you as a daughter. “You’re correct that we have a ‘shame in the family’, but mistaken about what it is. “Kicking Chad out of your home simply because he told you he was gay is the real ‘abomination’ here. A parent disowning her child is what goes ‘against nature’. “The only intelligent thing I heard you saying in all this was that ‘you didn’t raise your son to be gay’. Of course you didn’t. He was born this way and didn’t choose it any more than being left-handed. “You however have made a choice of being hurtful, narrow-minded, and backward. So, while we are in the business of disowning our children, I think I’ll take this moment to say goodbye to you. I now have a fabulous (as the gay put it) grandson to raise, and I don’t have time for heartless B-word of a daughter. “I[f] you find your heart, give us a call. Dad.”

Imgur users praised the grandfather for being so understanding. It was also shared on Facebook page FCKH8 where commenters added their support and praised the grandad for his use of 'b-word' instead of 'bitch'. We need more people like Chad's grandad in the world.
