This Dublin Bus Driver’s Random Act Of Kindness Got A Round Of Applause Today

Good karma is coming for this bus driver.

Passengers on the number 16 bus today witnessed a lovely act of kindness from the bus driver.

Journalist Nick Royle happened to be on the bus when it stopped near Beaumont on Dublin’s Northside.

He told our bros at JOE.ie that he was originally irritated as he thought it was a driver changeover, but soon noticed that the driver had gotten off the bus to help a blind man board.

He said:

“On the Santry Road he stopped the bus, I was like ‘oh for f*ck’s sake, typical delays. Then I realised what was going on,” he said.

“The gentleman was a pensioner with a white stick and the driver left the bus with him. He then walked with the man all the way to his front door to see him off safely.

“Nobody on the bus had a clue what was going on initially, but when the driver came back and gave a gruff, “sorry about that,” the whole bus broke out into a round of applause.

“I tried to get a picture but, unfortunately, my phone didn’t co-operate.”

A small, but lovely thing to witness.
