One bride and groom decided to ask their guests to give random acts of kindness as wedding gifts – to help spread the feeling of love from their big day.
Leigh McManus and her husband James Clark Jnr married in September, but the couple are still feeling the after effects of their wedding.
Before tying the knot, the couple made a special request to friends by wedding invitation to reach out and share some little act of joy, explaining:
“We invited people to participate if they felt so inclined.
“We asked if they did participate to email or text me or use the hashtag #kindleigheverafter.”

As her wedding day approached, and past the magic of saying ‘I do’, Leigh says she’s been inundated with sweet moments of love, kindness and generosity.
From volunteering time and services at a local animal shelter, to dropping off baked goods at a nail salon and treating strangers to lunch, the gestures of goodwill are bound to bring some karma back to the warm couple.
The bride herself even got in on the act – donating their wedding flower arrangements to local nursing homes and hospitals.
Speaking to ABC News, Leigh said:
“It was just a way to celebrate the love of our wedding.
“It was nice to have such a big chapter of our lives not only create love and happiness for us and for our guests, but for others as well.”
