Tried and tested.

If you’re in the market for a new car our Tried And Tested column should help you decide.

With so many brands and types to choose from, it can often be quite hard to know which car is the right car for you.

From testing them out on the motorways to driving around the back roads of Ireland, we give you the highs and lows of many of the market’s leading brands.

So sit back, relax and get ready to go cruising…

This week, we were cruising around Dublin before heading to Galway to soak up a bit of culture.

Looking good!
As usual, we’ll kick things off with a bit of aesthetic admiration and we’ve got to say, we really like the look of the new Peugeot 108 TOP – it’s sleek and sophisticated.

Gadget heaven
We’re all about the gadgets here at Her Towers and the Peugeot lives up to it, with handy mirror link and all the technology you’d expect from a 2015 car.

Rev it up!

It might only have a one litre engine but the Peugeot truly zips around the roads, and its small size makes it perfect for parking too.

Sunshine!

Quite possibly our favourite thing about the TOP model of the Peugeot 108 has to be the sun roof… A-mazing! It rolls so far back you’ll feel like you’re in a convertible cruising through California.

Fancy that!

Sticking with the sun roof (yes, we are a little bit in love), we were really impressed with the aero-acoustic deflector which is deployed automatically to reduce air turbulence within the passenger compartment. Nifty!

Economical too!
There’s nothing we like more than having some change in our pocket for a spot of shopping, so its good to know the Peugeot goes relatively easy on your pocket.

Pimp it out!

With eight body colours, seven themes and a range of different interior ambiences, the new Peugeot 108 can be tailored to match your personality and preferences.

Our rating?
A fantastic 3.5/5

Why?

There’s not a lot we could find wrong with this car but there is a but…

The boot is quite small and the touch screen controls on the dash are a little bit more than fiddly. Aside from that? It ticks all the right boxes.

And on that note… (we couldn’t resist!)
