Anyone who has been through, or is going through, the process of planning a wedding will know that “compromise” quickly becomes one of your favourite words.
We suspect that these newlyweds are set for a very long and happy life together if they can handle every disagreement in this spectacular a fashion.
Kia Parsons and Billy Bunning hit a glitch in the planning proceedings when Billy, a comic book aficionado, expressed his desire for a cake inspired by all things Marvel.
Kia, being more of a traditionalist, wanted a more classic, pretty cake with nothing quite so “out there”.
At first glance at their wedding pictures, it might seem like Kia got her way. But this white, tiered cake concealed a big surprise…
Batman, Captain America Spiderman and Iron Man all made an appearance on the big day.
Julia Baker of Tier By Tier, the Milton Keynes bakery responsible for the creation said: “I loved every minute making this cake, as I knew it would be something that people would be surprised at and appeal to all the Marvel fans!”
The cake took 40 hours to complete. Worth it.
