Would you eat iced-chicken collagen? It’s the new delicacy in Japan to beat the anti-ageing craze – meat pops that are packed in collagen to tackle saggy skin.
The ‘treat’ is made up of grilled skewers of chicken, frozen in blocks of collagen gelatin which are to be eaten by either licking or crunching like an ice lolly.
The collagen helps the chicken keep its barbecue flavour, with experts believing that eating the collagen will help plump up tired, saggy skin.
The dish is currently being served up as a treat in restaurants in Tokyo, with diners praising the popsicles for keeping them cool in the summer months.
