The Verdict Is Finally In On Sean O’Brien

Finally... The wait is over.  While Twitter nearly lost the plot earlier on as Ireland waited with bated breath to hear the verdict about Irish flanker Sean O'Brien, the wait is now over. According to reports the incredibly long hearing has now finished and O’Brien has reportedly been banned for one week, which was reduced from two weeks due to his disciplinary record. While this rules him out for Ireland’s clash against Argentina on Sunday, here’s hoping there’ll be more chances for us to see O’Brien again in the tournament. Come on you boys in green.

An official statement from World Rugby stated: "In the context of the Rugby World Cup tournament a week equates to one match. "The suspension takes effect immediately, therefore O’Brien is suspended for Ireland’s quarter-final match against Argentina on Sunday, 18 October, 2015. "He is free to resume playing on 19 October, 2015."
