Sue’s Choice: Sign of the Times

Sue says: My favourite story of the week was about the young five-year-old girl who signed her Christmas recital for her deaf parents. It just didn’t matter who else was there, she was the star of that show. What a little heroine.

Grace’s Choice: Christmas, All Wrapped Up.

Grace says: I have a lot of time for folk who put time, thought and effort into a good prank. These next four lads from Dublin excelled themselves this week when they decided to spread some cheer and save Christmas when they discovered their housemate hated the holiday. Gearóid Markey, Karl Jebb, Martin and Sean Feeney used 40 rolls of wrapping paper and left an early present for their friend that he wouldn’t forget. Take a bow lads, take a bow.

Michelle’s Choice: S’il Vous Plait…

Michelle says: It doesn’t cost anything to be nice. Your granny said it, your mammy said it, and they were right. In fact, being nice may even SAVE you money. This French café has a tiered system of pricing – the more polite you are, the less you pay. It’s a system I’d dearly love to see come in to play in more places around the world. Bravo!

Rebecca’s Choice: Kim – The GIF(t) that Keeps on Giving

Rebecca says: I really enjoyed putting together eleven of Kim Kardashian’s best GIFs. Despite what people think of her, she is rather entertaining and has carved quite the career out for herself. I also take a tiny bit of pleasure in the fact that her crying face looks a little like my own!

Úna’s Choice: Love Actually – The Sequel

Úna says: I’m not a huge rom-com fan but Love Actually is one of favourites that I can watch year-after-year but I’ve always wondered what happened to the characters after the credits rolled. This parody trailer for Love Actually 2 is everything I hoped for.

Cathy’s Choice: Santa Takes to the Skies

Cathy says:  I love airports and I love Christmas so this video warmed my heart. It captured the magic of Christmas as a child when Santa is the centre of your universe for about two months and you can’t think of anything else. It was heartwarming to see how delighted the families were with their unexpected gifts… Christmas cheer galore.
