Many hotels leave out 420 when assigning room numbers with a very specific reason why.
April 20th, aka 420, is a celebration of sorts for cannabis users who get together at 4:20 pm to smoke pot.
Or so the story goes anyway.
According to The Mirror, 420 can be a nightmare for some hotels because people use it as a place to party.
In some cases, guests have taken the number as a keepsake which isn’t exactly desirable for those in charge of the hotel.
There have been photos posted to image-sharing sites, including Imgur, and it seems to be quite the phenomenon.
We’ll be checking every hotel we’re in from now on…
