The Her.ie Essential Christmas Checklist

It's Christmas Eve. You have a few hours to get together all of the essentials before the shops close and you retreat to your den for the next 48 hours to regain your strength and feed. Fret not, we are here to help. 1. Pyjamas Don't even dream about forgetting these. You need pyjamas. Preferably ones with Santa Claus all over them. 2. Bath Stuff You will want to smell like a gingerbread woman so you better make sure you have all the essentials there. There's nothing quite like that Christmas Eve bath. 3. Chocolate. Obviously chocolate! Selection boxes as far as the eye could see! 4. Alcohol. You will never survive Christmas without alcohol. Alcohol prevents murder. 5. Cranberry Sauce There's always one thing you will forget, it is more than likely the cranberry sauce. 6. Turkey/Other Birds You may THINK this is obvious... 7. Sellotape I'm just going to wrap these presents and... oh no. No sellotape. 8. Painkillers That'll be for the alcohol consumption then. 9. Blankets Fluffy blankets. You will pretty much live in these for quite a few days. 10. The Essentials Milk, bread, butter, alcohol. Good lord, don't forget the milk. 11. Batteries Got the nephew a nice new remote controlled plane? Forgot the batteries? Typical. 12. Furry Socks It will probably be snowing, you need furry socks for the cold. And the fact that they're amazing. 13. Wrapping Paper and Labels This will be essential on Christmas Eve. You will definitely forget to wrap a present and then a frantic process will begin to find it. 14. Christmas Jumpers Don't be the only one at the Christmas dinner table in normal clothes! Embrace the Christmas! 15. Spare Gift Who did I forget? Here's some random chocolates/bath bombs/soap for you! I know! So thoughtful! 16. Petrol Ever need to go visit someone on Christmas Day and then discover you used all the petrol on Christmas Eve?
