No big surprises there, but what we did find interesting is that the gap is growing, with Dublin 2 rents now 3.7 times higher than Leitrim, compared to 2010 when Dublin 2 rents were just 2.8 per cent higher.
Nationwide, average rent increased by 9 per cent in 2015, with inflation most affecting counties outside Dublin.
In Cork city, rent is 15.4 per cent higher than this time last year, and Galway has seen a rise of 13.3 per cent.
Also, as of February 2016, rent availability is at its lowest on record.
