Yoko Ono, the noted peace activist, has voiced her opinions on gun control laws in America by tweeting a heart-breaking image.
The artist posted a picture of John Lennon’s bloodstained glasses accompanied with the words: “Over 1,057,000 people have been killed by guns in the U.S.A since John Lennon was shot and killed on December 8, 1980.” Today would have been the couple’s 44th wedding anniversary.
Yoko and John were married in Gibraltar and spent their honeymoon campaigning in Amsterdam with a week-long bed-in for piece. The picture of John’s glasses has been used by Yoko before.
