“The Best Thing is That We Didn’t Have Kids” – Nick Lachey Speaks Out About Marriage to Jessica Simpson

They were the couple that graced our TV screens for a number of years and now, Nick Lachey has spoken out about his relationship with Jessica Simpson and their show Newlyweds. Nick, who is now married to Vanessa Minnillo and has a two-year-old son Camden and another baby on the way, revealed in an interview with SiriusXM radio that; “In our situation, that was probably the best thing that could have ever happened that we didn’t have kids. “And look, you’re always going to love your kids no matter how you feel about the other parent, but all things being equal, it was the best thing probably for both of us that we went on with our lives. She’s obviously happily married with two and I’m happily married and about to have two so it all worked out the way it was kind of meant to work out." The couple split in 2005 after three years of marriage.  “She and I don’t necessarily stay in each other’s lives. I wouldn’t say it’s friends and I wouldn’t say it’s enemies – there is just no contact. We both moved on with our lives… it’s not animosity, it’s not friendship, it’s just kind of nothing.” Jessica, meanwhile, is married to Eric Johnson and has two children Maxwell (2) and Ace (16 months).
