If you’ve ever been to The Stag’s Head, you’ll know this is well deserved.
The Stag’s Head, on Dame Lane in Dublin city centre, has been named as the best pub in Ireland.
Hospitality Ireland’s 11th annual National Hospitality Conference and Awards took place on Monday evening, with the best pubs and restaurants in the country named.
The Stag’s Head is one of Dublin’s oldest and most popular venues, and deservedly took the top prize ahead of Lowry’s Irish Music and Whiskey Bar in Clifden and Doheny & Nesbitt on Baggot Street in the capital.
Loam, in Galway, took home the award for best restaurant ahead of Dublin’s Luna and Taste At Rustic.
The best traditional pub in Ireland award went to Toner’s of Baggot Street, ahead of Kehoe’s on South Anne Street and Crotty’s of Kilrush.
