The full-time position is being advertised for Wrexham, Wales, and aims to help local customers ease into the bustle of the festive season with one less stress.
While customers do their weekly shop, it will be the job of the Christmas light detangler to free their decorations from every twist and knot, check for any broken bulbs and note any signs of breakage.
Speaking to The Mirror, a Tesco spokeswoman said:
“To help locals enjoy the festive season and relieve some of the stresses often associated with the Yuletide season, specifically, tangled tree lights Tesco has launched a search for someone who can conquer one of the most frustrating jobs of Christmas.
"The successful applicant will work full time in the lead up to Christmas, showing that “Every Little Helps”, lending their nimble fingers to customers while they shop.
A typical day could involve untangling up to 60 sets of lights!"
