Get the flip flops out!

Get your flip flops out and the barbecue ready because Met Éireann has predicted (reasonably) good weather for the upcoming bank holiday weekend!

That’s right, the fair weather that we’ve been enjoying for the last 36 hours is said to continue and temperatures are set to rise.

Friday is a mixed bag with sunny spells and scattered showers across the county. The west is expected to have the best of the weather with temperatures of around 18 degrees Celsius.

The following day, forecasters have said that it will be mainly dry with sunny spells and temperatures of up to 20 degrees Celsius in parts.

Sunday will also be mild although with patches of rain in places. Again, temperatures will be quite high, ranging from 14 to 19 degrees Celsius.

Bank Holiday Monday will take a turn for the worse however with cooler temperatures, scatted showers and westerly breezes.
