A 16-year-old girl who discovered she had been drugged and raped at a party after images of the alleged assault appeared online has waived her anonymity in order to bring her rapist to justice.

Jada, a teenager from Houston, claims that teenage boys who were at a party she attended spiked her punch and attacked her while she was unconscious, according to the Independent.

She has waived her right to anonymity in order to speak to US TV network KHOU about the assault: “There’s no point in hiding,” Jada told the broadcaster. “Everybody has already seen my face and my body, but that’s not what I am and who I am.”

Since the attack, Jada has been the subject of internet trolling even becoming the subject of a terrible hashtag on Twitter, #jadapose.

However, there are many who are now taking the hashtag back and reinforcing a more positive statement for Jada like #JusticeforJada and #JadaCounterPose.

Police from Houston Police Department have confirmed they are investigating the incident.

Jada’s mother Sukieda has also claimed this is happening to many more young girls and supports her daughter’s decision to speak out about the incident.
