Taking The Web By Storm: One Dad’s Photo Of His Daughter Reaching Out To Touch Doctor’s Hand From Womb

This amazing photo has become one of the biggest viral hits of 2013 so far...

One amazing photograph that captures the moment when a newly born baby emerges from her mother’s womb has become one of the first viral hits of 2013.

The proud parents posted the photo on Facebook for friends and family to share, when it went viral within hours.

Alicia Atkins of Glendale, Arizona gave birth to daughter, Nevaeh, via Caesarean section on October 9th. Her husband Randy snapped the stunning image of a baby entering the world for the first time… and grabbing hold of the doctor’s fingers.

“The doctor called me over and said, “Hey, she’s grabbing my finger,”‘ Randy told 3TV News.

“So I ran over there and just grabbed the shot and I was just in awe looking at it. It was such an amazing picture.”

Wife Alicia is a professional photographer and owns a photo studio called A Classic Pin-Up.

Alicia posted the photo to her company Facebook page after Christmas and watched as her views, likes and comments hit the thousands.

The photo is also posted as the company’s Facebook page’s cover photo.

She also wrote: “This was 10 weeks ago when I was having my c-section and Dr. Sawyer broke my water and my daughter reached up out of my stomach and grabbed the Dr.’s finger and my hubby caught this special moment.

“Truly amazing.

“I am in awe of this photo.

“Something to remember forever.’”

Alicia is posting the couple’s media appearances on the page.

And her excitement at being featured on the news internationally…

Alicia and Randy were shocked at the feedback the photo received on social media networks.

“We didn’t think we were going to get such positive feedback. We thought we would get more negative ‘that’s disgusting,'” Alicia told KTVK. “Instead everybody just thought it was the best thing in the world.”

Their daughter Nevaeh, ‘Heaven’ spelt backwards, is enjoying family life with her mum, dad and two older siblings.
