We’ve all heard that size really does matter, but by the latest results we’re actually talking about the overall picture.
A new study has pointed to a man’s height as having a significant effect on the number of sexual partners he’s likely to have – with shorter men tending to have between one and three fewer sexual partners than taller men.
The study, conducted by Chapman University, looked at the sex lives of more than 60,000 people and showed that men considered to be below average heights (5’8″ – 5’10”) had less sexual partners than those who were above average.
Digging deeper into the results, our brothers over at JOE.ie found that the trend links back to the caveman era – where women were more likely to pick a taller partner who could protect her children.
While the news might cause some ego bruising, the author of the study David Frederick, Ph.D. revealed to Men’s Health, that the most important quality people rated in a partner was far from their height:
“Men and women both report that their top quality in a long-term partner is someone who is genuinely kind and understanding.”
Add confidence and a sense of humour, and we think most women could overlook leaving their heels in the wardrobe once in a while.
